Become a Cousin/Community Partner

A kinship circle for people and orgs who keep our communities well. Cousins are community partners—neighbors, small businesses, faith groups, campus orgs, agencies, and aunties-in-training—who help more people access care and training.

Two ways to join (choose one—or both)

Resource Cousin (Directory) — no training required

List your business/organization (or yourself) in our Cousin Directory so neighbors can find real-world help: space, rides, childcare, translation, printing, food, design, and more. You control what contact info shows, no home addresses. Edit/remove anytime.

Learning Cousin (Training Path)

Enroll in Community Care Certification and/or Skill-Up workshops to build practical, culturally rooted skills for community care. You’re part of the Cousin circle as soon as you enroll.

Facilitators vs. Cousins: Only facilitators must complete Certification + 3 Skill-Ups before teaching. Cousins do not need training to join.

How Cousins partner

  • Fund access: sponsor scholarships, rides, childcare, interpretation
  • Share space & skills: host a 10–20 person session; offer design/data/photo/translation
  • In-kind support: printing, snacks/meals, childcare, supplies
  • Spread the word: co-promote trainings and events
  • Be findable: opt into the Cousin Directory as a public resource

Perks for Cousins

Early registration · 10% off public workshops · Quarterly “Cousins’ Corner” update · Optional shout-ins · Impact notes you can share · Directory badge (if listed)

Who qualifies?
