Burnout Prevention & Sustainable Practice

Care work shouldn’t cost you your health. Spot burnout early, set boundaries that stick, and build a rest plan that fits real life. We’ll practice simple, repeatable tools you can use the same day—on the job, at home, and in community.


You’ll learn:

  • Burnout early-warning signs and what to do first
  • Boundaries that hold under pressure (“no, with care” / “yes, with limits”)
  • De-escalation & reset skills for tough moments
     

You’ll leave with:

  • Personalized Early-Warning Checklist (physical, emotional, behavioral cues) to intervene before crisis
  • 7-Day Rest Plan (micro-rests, recovery meals, social support, non-negotiables) you can actually keep
  • Boundary Script Bank (“No, with care” + “Yes, with limits”) for clients, family, coworkers, and self
  • Workload & Energy Audit worksheet to right-size your week and drop/delegate low-value tasks
  • 90-Second Reset Ritual (breath + movement + cue word) for after tough visits or calls
  • Request + Referral Template for when you can’t take something on—reduces guilt, keeps relationships strong
  • Buddy System Guide with check-in cadence, red-flag words, and escalation steps
  • Printable Burnout Barometer self-test to track progress month-to-month
  • Digital Boundaries Toolkit (status messages, autoresponder copy, calendar blocks)
     
  • Relapse-Plan Card: first 3 steps if symptoms return, who to text, when to rest

     

Format: 2 hours · virtual or in-person
Access: ASL/CART or language interpretation available with advance request; step-free venues whenever possible.
